If you are in the mood for a holiday that is surrounded by mystery, then make your way to Egypt. The sights, the sounds and even the smells will envelop you and will take you to a world that is rich with a million stories that are still to be told.

Pyramids of Giza

The pyramids of Giza are the most visited in Egypt. They are the tombs of Khufu, Mekaura and Kafhre. The precision with which they were crafted to look so magnificent after so many years is what baffles travellers from across the world. They wonder how ancient Egyptians built so well their structures as they had no access to the technology that we do today.

Sphinx

The riddle of the Sphinx must be encountered when you are in Egypt. While you are on tour marvelling the great feat of the pyramids, set some time aside and check out the Sphinx, make sure you have your camera handy, to take some pictures of this mythical creature that has been sculpted ages ago and continues to carve a mysterious spell today.

Abu Simbel

The Abu Simbel are a set of two temples that were built by Pharaoh Ramesses II for himself and his wife Nefertari. These temples are worth a visit because they have been preserved beautifully.

Cairo

Egyptian culture will surround you when you make it to the streets in Cairo. The bazaars, the restaurants and the people are oozing of the culture and you are bound to drown it while you are there. Cairo is one of the most visited places in Egypt and you must stop by if you want to make your journey count.

Temples of Karnak

The Theban religion is celebrated in full splendour at the Temples of Karnak. Every God that was worshipped in ancient times has a place in these temples. If you want to indulge in the religious spirit that ancient Egyptians were accustomed to, these temples are a must visit.

The Nile River

If you go to Egypt and do not take a Felucca ride down the longest river in the world, your trip will be deemed unfinished. The Nile river is said to have transformed the face of Egypt. Flowing through this beautiful country it nourished and provided for every being that was there. Your evenings in Egypt must be spent sailing down this river and soaking in the sights that make Egypt spectacular.

Valley of the Kings

The valleu of the Kings also known as Biban El Moluk is the area where the most famous Tutankhamun was discovered. It is the burial ground of some of the most important kings in Egyptian history. And in fact, it is said that archaeologists are continuously coming face to face with several hidden treasures and mummies while excavating in this land.

Egyptian Museum

Archaeologists found many a treasure in hidden tombs and securely transported them to the Egyptian Museum for the world to admire. Under high security they are displayed here for the world to admire. The museum is known to have the greatest collection of ancient Egyptian artefacts.

Siwa Oasis

If you are tired of looking at pyramids and tombs and temples, and just want to relax and let off some steam, you should make your way to the Siwa Oasis. Here you can swim in some cool waters and keep the desert heat at bay.

Necropolis of Sakkarah

The city of the Dead as popularised in the movie ‘The Mummy’ cannot be missed while you are in Egypt. The Necropolis of Sakkarah may not house pyramids as grand as the Great Pyramids of Giza but the step pyramids that are here too reek of great mysteries.
