If possible, carry some of your children’s’ favourite snacks. You might end up to a roadside café that has only basic minimums. Pick up stuff like cup noodles and other such packaged food. You can always experiment new foods on a holiday, but do not let your kids do that. You never know what consequences might be.

Do not forget the medicines. Keep them in a place where you can find them quickly. You will be able to find basic drugs anywhere, but you might not always find a drugstore in time.
When you check into your hotel room, quickly make a survey that it is safe for your children. It would be good if you can speak to them before and tell them about you having children. Perhaps they can make some arrangements for you. Carry a small plug-in night light with you if you have young children. The hotel room may turn out to be too dark for them.
Keep a little detergent with you. There are several accidents that can happen with food and clothes. You can wash it right off in the wash basin.
